Unfortunatly we didnt stay in the above hotel as they had no room for us when we arrived. however they moved us more or less back into krakow city ,into their sister hotel The Regent. This we found very satisfactory.
Top Tip
Kazimierzworth worth a visit.
If your visiting the salt mines its cheaper to go by public transport(Bus route 304)
Resturant Stodota 47 is a very good one in Krakow ul floianska street.

Hotel Galicya was clean, near city centre, about 5 stops on a tram which you could get outside hotel. Only thing I would recommend is a travel kettle if going in winter as no tea/coffee facilities in room and winter is very cold there so hot drinks appreciated! Other than that a great place to stay.

We did not stay at the Galiciya, when we arrived we were told on reception that there had been a group of guests who had damaged the room so we were moved to another hotel in their chain called the Regent - which was lovely and nearer the town ct. The only small thing missing was tea and coffee facilities in the room.
Top Tip
Must visit Auschwitz but you can get the bus from the bus station for 18ZL each - much cheaper. Jewish quarter has some lovely little restaurants and bars and a little cheaper than the town square.

Were transferred due to burst pipe, this was done with a free taxi and although the hotel we went to was very central it was also VERY noisy and uncomfortably hot. Polish restaurant behind Hotel Rezydent was excellent.
Be aware go to Castle early to get tickets it gets very quickly booked up.

Galicja hotel was, as expected; very cosy, outside of city noises, peaceful
and within only eight tram's stops to the city centre, first class.
Staff were excellent, so was, also, cleanliness & food.
If ever we were to visit Krakow, we would, certainly stay ay the Galicja.
