We all thought the hotel was great. Staff were very helpful at all times and the location perfect being only about 100 metres from the main square. One of our rooms had previous smokers and the smell lasted for the 4 days of our visit. There are still many smokers in Poland and you should expect this when you visit restaurants and clubs etc. but otherwise Crakow is a super place.

Jazz and other music on offer locally.

The hotel is excellent, cntrally located for all the sites. However, we stayed over the weekend and it was VERY NOISY due to local night clubs. We got no sleep at all on the Saturday night, and very little on the Friday. my tip would be to stay mid-week rather than over the weekend, unless of course you are there to get hammered on both nights and all night long !

A trip on the river Vistula was excellent value for money.
The nearby main market square is an absolut must - lotes of great food - however don't overlook eating dinner in the hotel restaurant where the food is outstanding and reasonably priced in a lovely setting in the cellar.
One of the finest sites is the Royal Castle - Wawel - however we made a mistake by planning to go there on our last day which was a Monday, when much of the castle is closed to visitors - so, do the castle but not on a Monday !

Very friendly, helpful staff. Hotel is beautifully situated just 2 minutes walk from the main square, 10 minutes from railway station and 15 minutes from Wawel castle. Quiet, clean and comfortable, the hotel is a great base from which to explore Cracow.
Top Tip
Miod Malina restaurant is a must. Chimera has character. Tours to Auschwitz, salt mines etc are easily organised and booked from the helpful information centre in the Cloth Hall, main square. Also concerts/piano recitals can be booked - go to at least one. You need 5 days minimum to do Cracow and environs real justice. A train trip is cheap and a good experience. Tarnow (one hour) or Zakopane (2 hours) are good destinations.

Comment
Very good hotel. Food very good, rooms warm and comfortable despite the cold December weather outside. The staff were, without exception, polite and very helpful. Situated in a quiet back street in the old town yet within a minutes walk of the attractions in the centre of town. Would happily recommend this hotel to friends and relatives.
Top Tip
There are very many appealing bars, clubs and restaurants very close to the hotel. Many of the local attractions such as the Wawel are all within walking distance and there is good transport to places further away. Tours such as the salt mines,Nowa Huta and Auschwitz can be arranged by the hotel.

All the staff were very polite, friendly and most helpful.

On a first visit use the tour companies to visit the camp and saltmines and so much information is given by them.

Friendly, smiling and english speaking staff throughout the hotel. We telephoned the day before as we wanted to drop off our bags due to mid morning arrival of plane and they organised for our rooms to be cleaned ready by 11.00a.m. Realy great service during our stay, nothing too much for them.
Top Tip
Three days is not enough to do Auschwitz and Salt mines and the town. Minimum of four full days - if you have the stamina!
